Thimphu Base Bhutan Tour

Meet & greet on arrival at Paro Airport and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Check in at your hotel and relax after the journey. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Thimphu city or relax at the hotel.
Overnight Stay: Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,150 m), offering panoramic Himalayan views and the famous 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens. On arrival, enjoy a short walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, the revered Temple of Fertility. Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, once the seat of Bhutan’s government and still the winter residence of the Je Khenpo. If time permits, stop at the Punakha Suspension Bridge. In the evening, return to Thimphu.
Overnight Stay: Thimphu

After breakfast, visit Buddha Dordenma (Kuenselphodrang) for breathtaking valley views. Continue to National Memorial Chorten and Folk Heritage Museum. Later visit Sangaygang View Point followed by the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, a sacred hilltop temple, and in the evening explore Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.
Overnight Stay: Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Paro Valley. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) followed by Rinpung Dzong, the administrative and judicial center of Paro. Explore Paro town and visit the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Continue to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate victory over Tibetan invasions. En route, enjoy photo stops at the Tiger’s Nest viewpoint and Paro Airport View Point. Return to Thimphu by evening.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey with cherished memories of Bhutan.
