Itinerary

Meet and greet on arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive to Tezpur / Bhalukpong, located at the gateway of Arunachal Pradesh.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. The evening is free for leisure where you can explore the peaceful surroundings of the Himalayan foothills.

Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

After breakfast, drive towards Dirang, a beautiful hill station in Arunachal Pradesh. En route visit Tipi Orchidarium, home to more than 500 varieties of orchids.

Continue your journey with a visit to Nag Temple and enjoy scenic waterfalls and mountain views along the way.

Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit Dirang Monastery, Kalachakra Monastery, seasonal Apple Orchards and Kiwi Farms, and the Dirang Hot Water Springs known for their medicinal properties.

Overnight stay at Dirang.

After early breakfast, drive to Tawang. En route enjoy spectacular views of Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and the beautiful Sela Lake.

Visit the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to the bravery of soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat during the 1962 Indo-China war.

Stop at the magnificent Nuranang Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arrive in Tawang and check in to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

Overnight stay at Tawang.

After breakfast visit the famous Tawang Monastery, a 17th-century monastery overlooking the Tawang Valley at 10,000 ft.

Later visit Urgeling Gompa, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, and the Tawang War Memorial dedicated to soldiers of the 1962 Sino-Indian war.

You can also explore the Tawang Craft Center, known for traditional masks, carpets, silver jewelry, and local handicrafts.

Overnight stay at Tawang.

After early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake) located near the Indo-China border. The lake was formed after the 1950 earthquake and is surrounded by beautiful mountains and submerged tree trunks.

Continue to Bumla Pass, situated at about 15,200 ft, offering spectacular views of the Indo-China border region.

While returning, stop at PTSO Lake (Pangong Tang Tso) for photography.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Overnight stay at Tawang.

After breakfast drive to Bomdila, known for its peaceful monasteries and scenic Himalayan views.

Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gompa).

In the evening explore the Bomdila local market.

Overnight stay at Bomdila.

After breakfast drive to Guwahati, the gateway city of Northeast India.

Upon arrival check in to the hotel and relax after the long journey.

After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing in Guwahati.

Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India. Continue to Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Assam State Museum, State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Regional Science Centre, and Sukreswar Temple.

In the evening you may enjoy an optional Brahmaputra River Sunset Cruise (direct payment).

Overnight stay at Guwahati.

After breakfast transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
