Itinerary

Upon arrival at the airport, you will receive a warm welcome and assistance before transferring to Sigiriya (approximately 140 km, 3.5 hours). In the evening, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Dambulla Golden Temple (entrance not included). The Dambulla caves have a rich history, thought to have been inhabited from the 7th to 3rd century BC. These caves provided refuge to King Valagamba during his 14-year exile, and the paintings and statues inside were repainted in later centuries. Overnight stay at the hotel in Sigiriya.

After breakfast, visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress (entrance not included), a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning geological formation and archaeological significance. Next, embark on the Sigiriya Village Tour (entrance not included), which offers a unique experience of rural Sri Lanka. This includes a tuk-tuk ride through the countryside, a visit to local farms, a hands-on cooking demonstration, and a boat ride on a nearby lake with views of the fortress. Afterward, transfer to Kandy (approximately 90 km, 2.5 hours), stopping by the Spice Garden at Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s valuable spices and herbs. You will also visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (entrance not included) before continuing your journey to Kandy. After breakfast, explore Nuwara Eliya, also known as the "City of Lights" and the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea industry. You can relax at Gregory Lake or visit the strawberry plantations, flower gardens, colonial buildings, race course, and golf club (entrance not included). You may also visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens (entrance not included). Then, transfer to Ella (approximately 60 km, 1.5 hours), known for its breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Explore the Nine Arch Bridge, a marvel of colonial-era engineering, before continuing your journey to Yala (approximately 120 km, 3.5 hours). Overnight stay at the hotel in Yala.

Start your day with a thrilling safari at Yala National Park (entrance not included), one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries. Afterward, transfer to Hikkaduwa (approximately 250 km, 5.5 hours). En route, stop at Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a stroll through the historical fortifications and the charming streets of the old town.
