Your journey includes visits to historical sites like Rajwada Palace and the glass-clad Kanch Mandir, as well as culinary adventures in local street food hubs. You’ll explore the romantic ruins of Mandu, including Jahaz Mahal and Sunset Point, before continuing to the serene town of Maheshwar, renowned for its fort and sacred ghats along the Narmada River. The itinerary also includes a visit to Omkareshwar, home to one of India's revered spiritual Jyotirlingas, culminating with a peaceful boat ride and spiritual experiences. Finally, you’ll return to Indore for your departure, having immersed yourself in the region's rich history and traditions.

Itinerary
Arrive in Indore, the bustling commercial hub of Madhya Pradesh. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to freshen up. Start your exploration with a visit to Rajwada Palace, a historic blend of Maratha and Mughal architectural styles. Afterward, enjoy a traditional lunch at one of the local street food hotspots like Sarafa Bazaar or Chappal Wala Gali. In the afternoon, head to Kanch Mandir, a stunning Jain temple made entirely of glass, and then visit Lal Baag Palace, a beautiful palace with lush gardens. For the evening, take a stroll along the Saraswati Canal or visit the Indore Museum to get a deeper insight into the region’s rich history. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner at your hotel or one of the local restaurants.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Mandu, a picturesque historic town about 90 kilometers from Indore (roughly a 2-hour drive). Upon arrival, visit Jahaz Mahal (Ship Palace), a striking structure located between two lakes, which showcases a blend of Afghan and Mughal architecture. After a relaxing lunch, explore Rani Roopmati Mahal and Baz Bahadur’s Palace, known for their romantic historical significance and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the evening, head to Sunset Point, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sun setting over the ruins of Mandu. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for a relaxing dinner.
After breakfast at your hotel, begin your day by visiting Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, considered the first marble tomb in India, and the Jama Masjid, which is an excellent example of Mughal architecture. Then, explore Mandavgarh Fort, a massive fort offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. After lunch, check out and drive to Maheshwar, which is approximately a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from Mandu. Upon arrival in Maheshwar, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Narmada River at the Maheshwar Ghats, one of the most serene and spiritual experiences in the area. Enjoy a quiet dinner by the river at your hotel or a local restaurant.
After a leisurely breakfast, explore Maheshwar Fort, a 16th-century fort offering beautiful views over the Narmada River. Visit the Ahilya Bai Holkar Temple, dedicated to the revered queen Ahilya Bai, who contributed significantly to the town’s development. You can also explore the Weaving Looms of Maheshwar, where the famous Maheshwari sarees are made. After lunch, take some time to shop for these traditional handwoven sarees. Later, drive to Omkareshwar, which is around 1.5 to 2 hours away. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. If time permits, visit the Omkareshwar Temple for the evening Aarti (prayer ceremony), a unique and spiritual experience on the banks of the Narmada River.
On your final day, enjoy an early breakfast and head to the Omkareshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located on an island in the Narmada River, shaped like the sacred "Om" symbol. Afterward, take a peaceful boat ride around the temple complex for a closer look at the architecture and natural beauty of the area. Depending on your departure time, you may also visit Kailash Temple or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around the town. After lunch, drive back to Indore (approximately 2-3 hours) for your departure.
