Itinerary
Arrive at Leh airport (Kushok Bakula Rinpoche) by morning flight. This flight is known for its breathtaking views, where on a clear day, you can see peaks like K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum on one side and the Nun Kun massif on the other. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and take time to acclimatize to the high altitude of over 11,000 feet. In the afternoon, explore Leh Market, Leh Palace, and the Shanti Stupa. Stay overnight in Leh.
After breakfast, visit Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Stay overnight in Leh.
After an early breakfast, begin the journey to Nubra Valley, passing through Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 5,602 meters. Upon arrival, visit the sand dunes at Hunder, where you can enjoy camel rides, a cultural dance show, and ATV rides (at your own cost). If time allows, visit Diskit Monastery. Check-in at the hotel or camps in Nubra Valley and enjoy the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
After breakfast, drive to Turtuk, a village that opened to tourists only in 2010 and was captured by the Indian Army during the 1972 war with Pakistan. After visiting Turtuk, return to Hunder for an overnight stay.
Drive to Panamic Hot Springs to enjoy a relaxing dip in the natural hot springs. Then continue to Siachen Base Camp, the world’s highest battlefield, where you can interact with army personnel and learn about their life at Siachen. Afterward, return to Nubra via Sumoor. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Drive towards Leh until you reach Khalsar, then take the left route to Shyok and Durbuk villages. The road after Shyok is steep, but once you reach Pangong Lake, you will be rewarded with stunning views. The lake, featured in films like "3 Idiots" and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan," is known for its vivid color changes and beauty. Overnight stay at a campsite near Pangong Lake.
=After breakfast by the lake, begin your journey back to Leh, passing through the villages of Durbuk, Tangtse, and others. Stop at Changla Pass for a hot cup of tea. Arrive in Leh and stay overnight.
After breakfast, depart for Leh airport, concluding your trip with memories to cherish forever!
