Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Trek

9 Days 8 Nights

Embark on a transformative spiritual journey with our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lucknow, a 9-day adventure that blends devotion, high-altitude trekking, and natural beauty. Begin your sacred pilgrimage in Lucknow, India, and proceed through Nepalgunj, Simikot, and Hilsa into the mystical landscapes of Tibet. Experience the divine serenity of Lake Mansarovar, perform the challenging Kailash Parikrama, and take in awe-inspiring views of Mount Kailash, revered as the spiritual center of the universe in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon. This yatra promises not just a physical voyage but a deep spiritual awakening.

Upon arrival at Lucknow Airport, our representative will greet and assist you. After clearing customs, drive to Nepalgunj, located near the India-Nepal border. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, attend a briefing session on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nepalgunj.

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Simikot, a remote town in northwestern Nepal. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a short walk to the Lord Shiva Temple nearby. Overnight stay at Simikot.

Today, after breakfast, board a helicopter to Hilsa (20-minute flight; 15 kg baggage limit). Wait at Hilsa for other group members to arrive due to group visa formalities. After completing Nepal and China immigration/custom clearance, continue by road to Purang, passing through up to two checkpoints en route. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Purang.

Today is a rest and acclimatization day. Use this time to adapt to the high altitude and explore local markets for any last-minute trekking gear like jackets, walking sticks, and water bottles required for the Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at Purang.

After breakfast, drive to Rakshas Tal (40 km), where you’ll witness a panoramic view of Gurla Mandhata Parvat, the first glimpse of Mount Kailash (South Face), and the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Continue the drive to Mansarovar Lake and begin the Parikrama (circumambulation) of the lake by vehicle. Perform a holy bath, pooja, and homa (fire ritual). Overnight stay near the lake.

After breakfast, drive to Darchen and visit Yamdwar, the starting point of the Kailash Kora (Parikrama). Begin your 12 km trek to Diraphuk, which offers breathtaking views of the West and North Face of Mount Kailash. On arrival, check in to the guesthouse. Overnight stay at Diraphuk.

Today is the most challenging day of the yatra. After breakfast, begin your 22 km trek, crossing the high-altitude Dolma-La Pass (5,630 m). En route, descend to Gauri Kund, a sacred lake, and continue the trek along the river to Zutulphuk. On arrival, check in to the guesthouse. Overnight stay at Zutulphuk. Note: Non-Parikrama participants will return to Darchen and wait for the group to rejoin.

After breakfast, complete the final leg of the trek (8 km) to reach the pick-up point near Darchen. Reunite with other group members and drive back to Hilsa, completing border formalities on both Chinese and Nepali sides. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hilsa.

After breakfast, take a helicopter flight to Simikot, followed by a connecting flight to Nepalgunj. On arrival, refresh at the hotel, then drive back to Lucknow for your onward journey or final departure. Yatra concludes with divine memories.
