Itinerary
Pickup from Gwalior Airport/Railway station. Transfere to hotel and Check-in. Gwalior is best known for its imposing hilltop fort, which was famously described as 'The pearl amongst fortresses in India' The city stands as the testimony of dynasties that ruled over the decades. Their influence is clearly seen in the many regal structures that dominate the cityscape. In a sense, Gwalior continues to retain a medieval majesty. Visiting places are Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, Teli Ka Mandir, Saas Bahu Temple & Sun temple.
Morning drive to Khajuraho. Khajuraho is an ancient city known for magnificent temples and its intricate sculptures located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Built in the medieval century by the Chandela Dynasty, the UNESCO site of 'Khajuraho Group of Monuments' is famous for its Nagara-Style architecture and graceful sculptures of nayikas and deities. The splendour of the intricate statues is one of the reasons that makes it a popular site to visit among tourists. One of the most stunning UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. Check-in at hotel. The entire monuments in the area lies in divided into Eastern, Western and Southern part of the complex. With difference in architecture and style the temples of these three complexes differ from each other lot. While the western group of temples is the most popular temple complexes in Khajuraho, the eastern group are also abound with some very popular and important temples. About one kilometer east of the western group lies the Khajur Sagar and the old village of Khajuraho. The eastern group of temples is located around this lake and village. After breakfast drive to Orchha. The historic town of Orchha, nestled on the banks of river Betwa, was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela Rajput Chief, Rudra Pratap. Here, the river Betwa splits into seven channels, also called the Satdhara. Legend goes that this is in honour of the seven erstwhile Chiefs of Orchha.
