The evening can be spent exploring nearby areas or unwinding after your journey.
Start your day early with an exciting jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park, renowned for its population of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. After the safari, enjoy breakfast before heading to Umiam Lake. This beautiful lake offers opportunities for boating and picturesque views. The drive to Shillong will take approximately 3 hours. Once in Shillong, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, depart from Shillong for Cherrapunji, stopping at Elephant Falls, one of the region's most beautiful waterfalls. After exploring the falls, continue your drive to Cherrapunji, check into your accommodation, and take some time to relax.
This day is dedicated to exploring Cherrapunji. Begin with a visit to Nohkalikai Falls, followed by Arwah Cave, known for its limestone formations. In the afternoon, trek to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge, experiencing the stunning sights and unique natural wonders of the region.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Dawki, where you can visit the crystal-clear Umngot River. Enjoy boating or relax by the riverside before stopping by the quaint village of Shnongpdeng, known for its beauty and vibrant culture.
