Day 01: Arrival at Cochin and proceed to Munnar (04 Hrs)
You will be picking from Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station and driving to Munnar (04 Hrs drive) with a slight halt at Valera to sooth your eyes with Cheeyappara waterfalls and impeccable Tea Plantations. . On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots. On arrival at Munnar check into the Hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel will be arranged.
Day 02: Munnar Local
After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point, Top Station. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai where the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar to Alleppey - Kumarakom (05 Hrs)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey - Kumarakom (05 Hrs Drive). Check in to the Houseboat for overnight stay. Meals will be served on the houseboat only. Alleppey and Kumarakom are small towns situated on a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. Choose a canoe, motor boat or a houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best. Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.
Day 04: Kumarkom - Varkala (03 Hrs)
After breakfast, depart from Kumarkom houseboat to Varkala. - Try to visit Ashtamudi beach / lake en-route if time permits.
Varkala is the perfect place for a holiday getaway to enjoy golden beaches and is also rich with history. Places to visit: The Janardhanaswamy Temple, also known as Varkala Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built 20 centuries ago. The significant feature of the temple is the huge old bell which is considered an oblation to the temple. Timings are 4am to 12pm and from 5pm to 8pm. Entry is free. The Papanasam Beach, also known as Varkala Beach, is one of the best beaches in Kerala because of the view it offers from the cliff top. Like its name suggests, its water has medicinal properties and is believed to wash off one's impurities and sins. The Samadhi situated within the premises of the beach is the resting place of the great philosopher, Sree Narayana Guru and attracts many devotees. The Kappil Beach, a little away from Varkala, is a beach-backwater destination. The road splitting the two waterbodies [west is the majestic Arabian sea and to the east is the calm and serene backwaters; the backwater and the Arabian Sea, is a treat to the eye.
Day 05: Varkala - Kovalam (60 Kms / 1.5 Hrs)
After breakfast, spend sometime at beach and proceed to Kovalam. En-route visit Shanghumukham beach. Later proceed to Kovalam for hotel check-in. Relax at resort after check-in and proceed to visit Kovalam local beaches: Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach, Samudra Beach.
Spend your evening relaxing at your resort.
Day 06: Kovalam - Trivandrum local
After breakfast, proceed to The Padmanabhaswamy temple. The principal deity Padmanabhaswamy (Vishnu) is enshrined in the "Anantha Shayana" posture, the eternal yogic sleep on the serpent Adi Shesha. Padmanabhaswamy is the tutelary deity of the royal family of Travancore. The titular Maharaja of Travancore, Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma, is the trustee of the temple. Later proceed to Poovar Island. You can enjoy boating in the beautiful backwaters of poovar. En-route visit Aazhimala Siva Temple. Visit various sightseeing places like mangroves forest, Mother Mary statue, elephant rock, coconut island, floating restaurant, floating cottages. While returning, visit Vzhinjam Marine aquarium. Return to your resort for overnight stay.
Day 07: Departure
After breakfast, relax for a while and proceed to Trivandrum city. You can continue shopping before the airport drop.
