Visa Requirements
Applicants need to come personally for application submission.
- Visa Application Form: Online visa application form – Please visit the website of Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Mumbai https://www.visaforchina.cn/BOM2_EN/ and fill in your detailed and true information on the online application form and the confirmation page.
- Passport: Original Passport with the validity of minimum six months from the date of travel and minimum 2 blank page required.
2 copies of passport bio data pages, Additionally, attach all old passports (if any). - Photo Specification: Two recent passport size 35mm x 45mm colored photographs with matt finish, 80% face coverage, white background and without border.
Please note: Photographs should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas. - Covering Letter: Covering letter on company letterhead (covering letter should be addressed – To, The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China, Mumbai, should contain details as follows: place to visit, name, address and contact number of the inviting / contact company or person along with authorized person’s signature and company stamp).
- Invitation Letter: Original Invitation letter on company letterhead or trade fair invitation relevant entity or individual. The invitation letter should be addressed – To, The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China, Mumbai. It should be contain:
- a) Information on the applicant full name, gender, date of birth, etc.,
- b) Information on the planned visit ( purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, places to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting entity or individual, financial source for expenditures )
- c) Information on the inviting on the inviting entity or individual name, contact telephone number, address, official stamp, signature ( signature should be in Chinese only ) of the legal representative or the inviting individual
Essential Points
- Copy of front and back side of inviter’s ID card or the legal representative ID Card ( if other national, then required passport copy, valid work visa / national id card copy front – back ).
- Copy of Business License of Inviting company.
- For foreign nationals’ Indian long-term residence or work permits.
- For application of a multiple entry visa, copy of all Chinese visas should be attached.

- Fast Track : 3 working days.
- Normal : Usually 4 to 5 working days.
