Upon arrival at Hanoi International Airport, with a private transfer to your hotel in the city center. Please note that standard check-in is between 2:00–3:00 PM; early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge. In the afternoon, begin your exploration with a visit to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, offering deep insight into the cultures of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups (closed on Mondays, alternate site will be arranged). Afterwards, stop by a local coffee shop near Train Street, a unique and photogenic area where trains pass through narrow residential alleys (drinks at your own expense). Then, enjoy a Green Car (or Cyclo Ride) through the vibrant Old Quarter, followed by a short walk along the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of Hanoi’s cultural life.

After breakfast, depart by private car to Ninh Binh, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land” for its dramatic limestone formations. Your first stop is the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, home to historic temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasties. Next, continue to Thung Nham Bird Park, where a peaceful sampan boat ride will take you through lush wetlands and mangrove areas – home to over 4,000 birds across 40 species. You’ll also explore Hang But (Buddhist Cave), known for its magical stalactite formations, including one shaped like a meditating Buddha beside an underground stream. A stroll through a nearby orchard of tropical fruits rounds out the visit before returning to Hanoi in the evening.

After breakfast, check out and join a shared shuttle bus transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay, passing through the rural countryside of the Red River Delta. Observe traditional Vietnamese village life as farmers work the fields and water buffaloes roam freely. Upon arrival, board your traditional wooden cruise vessel and receive a warm welcome from the onboard crew. As you cruise through the stunning Halong Bay, admire thousands of limestone islets and explore hidden caves, floating villages, and secluded beaches. While onboard, enjoy a cooking demonstration and participate if you wish. Savor freshly prepared Vietnamese cuisine for lunch and dinner in an elegant dining area (beverages not included). In the evening, you can relax on the sundeck, join squid fishing, watch a movie, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings.

Start the day with an optional Tai Chi session on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast and then a brunch as the cruise sails through more scenic sections of Halong Bay. Continue to visit some of the bay’s major highlights before returning to the harbor. Upon disembarkation, board the shuttle bus back to Hanoi, arriving by late afternoon. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore at your own pace. No transportation or guide services will be provided during this time.

Enjoy your morning at leisure. Check-out from the hotel is before 12:00 noon. At the designated time, our driver (no guide) will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Your North Vietnam adventure ends here with wonderful memories.
