Itinerary
Arrive at Airport. Clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. Our local Representative will meet you. Thereafter you will be assisted to the Coach Park to begin your journey as per the itinerary. Leave to Chilaw. Enroute Visit Munneswaram & Manavari Temple in Chilaw Afterwards proceed to Anuradhapura. Overnight stay at Anuradhapura.
After an early breakfast leave to Mannar. Visit Thirukethiswaram Temple - Thirukethiswaram Temple is an ancient Hindu temple in Manthota, about seven miles north of the Mannar Town. According to legend, it was at this ancient temple that Kethu Bhagavan worshipped Lord Siva. Hence the shrine acquired the name of Thirukethiswaram. This temple dedicated to the worship of the God Siva has been the most venerated for centuries and the holy waters of the Palavi Tank by its side are venerated in the sacred hymns of two great Saivite saints, Thirugnana Sambandhar and Sundarar, who lived in the 7th and 8th Centuries respectively. Leave after early breakfast at hotel and visit Nallur Kandasamy Temple & Naguleswarm Temple. Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil or Nallur Murugan Kovil : It''s one of the most significant Hindu temples in the Jaffna District. It stands in the town of Nallur. The presiding deity is Lord Murugan in the form of the holy Vel. The idol of the Nallur Devi or goddess was given to the temple in the 10th century CE by the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi, in the style of Sembian bronzes. Thiru Koneswaram temple : Thirukoneswaram is a Hindu temple which is located in the town Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. It is dedicated to main deity in Shaivism namely Lord Siva and is one of the five ancient Sivan temples around the island. The Koneswaram temple is believed to have been a major religious shrine since before the arrival of Prince Vijaya 2500 years ago. Many inscriptions found in the surrounding area speak of Indian Pallava, Chola and even Pandya kings making contributions to the upkeep of the temple indicating an origin in antiquity. Local legend has it that it was renovated by a Tamil Chola king from South India named Kulakottan. Early breakfast and leave to Kandy. Kandy : The hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple's shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Dinner and overnight stay at Kandy.
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit Ramboda waterfall and Tea factory plantation. Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple – Ramboda According to the ancient stories, Ramboda is an area, where the forces of Rama's gather to fight against King Ravana. This temple was built by the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka and dedicated to Hanuman. This temple houses for 16 feel height statue of Hanuman. City tour in Nuwara Eliya Nuwara Eliya : The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. Seetha Amman Temple : The kidnapping of Sita by Ravana (was King of Lanka) - meant that Ravana had to hide Sita in several locations. The Seetha Amman temple was named after the wife, Sitadevi, of Lord Rama. The structure was built on one of the exact sites where the demon king Ravana held Sita as his captive, in the Ashoka Forests of the region. Katharagama temple : In Katharagama, Sri Lanka, is a Hindu and Buddhist temple complex dedicated to Skanda-Murukan also known as Kataragama deviyo. It is one of the few religious sites in Sri Lanka that is venerated by the majoritySinhala Buddhists, minority Hindu Tamils, Muslims and the indigenous Vedda people.It is a collection of modest shrines, of which the one dedicated to Skanda-Murukan also known as Kataragama deviyo is the most important. For most of the past millennia, it was a jungle shrine very difficult to access, but currently is accessible by an all-weather road. Almost all the shrines— and the nearby Kiri Vehera— are managed by Buddhists, apart from shrines dedicated to Tevayani, Shiva (Siva) and the Muslim mosque. Up until the 1940s a majority of the pilgrims were Tamil Hindus from Sri Lanka and South India, who undertook an arduous pilgrimage on foot. Since then most pilgrims tend to be Sinhala Buddhists, and cult of Kataragama deviyo has become the most popular amongst the Sinhalese people. Overnight stay at Katharagama.

Proceed to City tour & Shopping in Colombo Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square. Overnight stay at Colombo
